Lalita Salins is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in NJ and NY and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist. (The American Association of Sex Educators, Counsellors and Therapists www.aasect.org).  Lalita is also trained in EMDR (www.emdr.com) and Sandtray-Worldplay Therapy.   Lalita has a wealth of clinical experience and expertise in post-traumatic stress.  She was a founding member of Ottawa’s Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood and served as the Clinical Supervisor of the mental health teams at the Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre and the Wabano Aboriginal Health Centre.   She relocated to the New York in 2011 area after 24 years as a practicing clinician in Canada.  As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Ms. Salins offers clinical supervision in NJ and NY Metro for therapists working towards certification and licensing, as well as workshops and clinical trainings for mental health professionals.  She has a particular passion for working with performers, artists, writers, directors and creatives of all stripes in unblocking whatever hinders full realization of creative dreams and aspirations.  

Lalita welcomes diversity and works with heterosexual and LGBTQIA clients, members of other sex and gender-diverse communities,  as well as people engaged in alternative lifestyles and open relationships.
